AFAIK this one's the most profitable and perhaps the most beautiful (I'd like to use 'clean' here) game I've ever seen. Heck I love to load it and just sit back and watch my trains coming in to Fairywell Woods non-stop, 4 train at a time. Yup, that's correct, FOUR trains at a time.
This game shows you a special rail system design I've never seen anywhere else. To say the least its so effective its producing the same results as most morevehicle=5 modded ones both in shipped cargo and income/profit. Some numbers are:
Cash in 2021 is $810+M, delivered cargo in 2074 is 68+K!!! In 2074 the cash overflowed which means $4280+M or £2147+M!
Tough theese are not such a big numbers and the saves may not be spectacular as some here (Adam's games, Multiplex, etc) but keep in mind that in this game I did not used presignals, dummy stations for routing, increased vehicle numbers and of course no cheats. Vehicle breakdowns were set to none, as I started this scenario (I mean random map) just for the reason to reach the paramount of building the most profitable company.
Stil there are some issues have to be solved like reduce the number road vehicles even more (eliminate them) or the line under PinkerPool. But still it is one of the bests if not The Best. hehe
The zip contains 4 saved games, 2021 - Dec 31, 2049 - 2074 - 2130. And again you should play this under the DOS version of TTDX since some important params are different there. But it worth a look if you want to get some new ideas about building railroad systems. Have fun,
